This event is open to:
Malaysian undergraduates studying in both public and private universities in Malaysia, pursuing their Bachelor’s Degree only.
This is a team event and the following guidelines shall apply:
Registration extended till 6 January 2017.
Each team should consist of four (4) students from the same university (in any field of studies).
The sign up form requires personal information of all 4 participants in the same team.
As part of the sign up form, teams are required to answer a short quiz, which also acts as the Preliminary Round.
An e-mail will be sent to the team leader, to confirm your team's application for participation.
A maximum of 120 teams will be selected by the organiser based on the correct answers to the quiz on the sign up form (Preliminary Round). They will compete at one of the Regional Rounds.
Only teams who pass the Preliminary Round and qualify for the Regional Rounds will be notified via e-mail, sent to the team leader.
Subsequently, the top 60 teams will be selected (20 from each region) to advance to the Grand Finale.
Successful teams will be notified by e-mail, sent to the team leader on the next steps.
The organiser reserves the right to relocate teams to different regions. Teams who are selected to be relocated will be informed by the organiser prior to the competition dates.
The decision of the organiser shall be final and no appeal shall be entertained.
During the event, participants will be covered by insurance. If there are any changes to the team compositions, kindly e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org BEFORE 13 January 2017.
Teams who have been selected to proceed to the Regional Rounds and Grand Finale but do not participate on the event day would have deprived others of the opportunity. They will be required to explain their absence through The Students Affairs of their respective universities.
Teams must adhere to the optimal team size of four (4).
Participants will bear their own transportation expenses to and from the competition venues.
In the event one of the team members is ill or otherwise cannot participate on the competition day, the team may find a replacement person and notify the organiser three (3) days before the competition day by e-mail to email@example.com.
In the event that a team member is caught cheating, the entire team will be automatically disqualified and withdrawn from further participation.
English is encouraged to be used throughout the trail. There are "secret agents" placed along the trail!
You should be fit and healthy as the CIMB Talent Trail involves a lot of walking (and reliance on public transport if you qualify for the Grand Finale).
Come with an open mind, be willing to use your common sense, be nice to people, and have fun.
Teams will be given challenges to solve along the trail within the specified timeframe. The team with the most number of correct answers (solved within the timeframe given) will be the winner.
A time buffer is given for those who complete the trail within 30 minutes after the official closing but marks will be deducted every minute that they are late.
In case of a tie, the quicker team will be adjudged winner.
The decision of the judges will be final and will not subject to appeal.
The organiser reserves the right to shortlist the teams and select the finalists and the winners for this competition based on their discretion. This decision is final and will not be subject to appeal.
Participants agree and consent that TalentCorp and CIMB Group may collect, use, disclose and process your personal information set out in the online registration form for the purposes of the Competition.
The organiser reserves the right to publish or display the name, picture and the University of any Winner for advertising and publicity purposes in any manner it deems appropriate. The organiser shall have the final decision and reserve the right to change the Terms & Conditions without prior notice.
